CRC DataProtection is a robust data backup and recovery solution that is first and foremost an opportunity for you to save money on your disaster recovery services. Here's an overview of how data protection with CRC DataProtection works:

The backup administration tool, DS-Client, is installed at an administration point, either a dedicated or existing Windows/Linux/Mac machine, connected directly to the network of machines you wish to protect. DS-Client is then manually configured to back up only the machines and directories you designate, on the automated schedule you designate or on-demand as you choose. Laptop data is protected using a lite version of the client software, DS-Client Lite, in a similar automated fashion. |
The configured DS-Client communicates to transfer encryped and compressed data for backup across IP-WANs to CRC's secured data center. |
The encrypted and compressed backup data is sent to CRC's Secured Storage Center and placed in the correct location. When the backup is complete, notification is automatically sent to the DS-Client machine. |
